The great thing about Masonry is that you really don't have to know someone to ask about it. When I was interested, I called the local lodge (I knew no members) and spent some times asking questions (who, what, where, why) then was invited to one of the stated meeting dinners.
At the dinner, you will get to meet others in the lodge, and if you want to join, there will be no problem getting two brothers to recommend. I did a quick search and it looks like the Howell, MI lodge is at 401 West Grand River Avenue (517) 546-5601. If you are interested, give them a call! |

Here is also a list of lodges in Michigan
Most of them have websites per lodge and youw ill find email addys there. I have vistited a lodge in Warren and talked to other lodges there and they were all welcome of me coming in before a meeting and getting me started. I however moved to Ct and joined. Best of luck http://www.grandlodge... Edited by JA PIke on Nov 2, 2006 5:49 AM |

My name is Richard and I'm also looking for a member in my local area(Fairview Heights, Illinois) to contact for more information on joining Freemasonry. Any help at all locating someone to talk to would be greatly appreciated. If anyone who reads this can help me, please contact me via email.
Thanks for all the help, Richard |

A simple google search should net some emails of Masons in your area. That's what I did. A few days later I was having lunch with them. 4 months later I was a Mason. Soon I will be a Royal Arch Mason. I know one guy that didn't know any Masons and went right to the lodge and went to the back door. He rang the buzzer. The wife of a Mason answered and gave him the # of a Mason. It's easy.
