I am sorry to inform you as well. The chapter and grand chapter body you are now a member is not a valid formed Eastern Star Organization. Please do your research it's not too late for you as well. We were trying to inform the other young lady as well.

But sometime anger blinds you.

I was in an irregular eastern star body in Brooklyn for three years before I found out. I was very angry. At first I refused to believe it. Then went I asked my sisters and even went to the higher levels there ,they told me I was getting false information and that we recognize each other. An once a Eastern Star always a Eastern Star.

That wasn't a good enough answer for me. Sometimes we are content to take one answer over the other because it's more comfortable.

I wasn't complaisant, it only causes me to investigate for myself and seek the truth.

Which I discovered I was lied to for three years believing I was a true eastern star.

I have long since corrected that problem. I left the chapter/grand chapter and joined a valid OES.

A Eastern Star that is Recognized through out the state and through the world.

I have been a member of my new oes body for three years.

Ladies please do your research.

Not everyone that contacts you to help you on your way is on the up and up .

Check them out along with there chapter and grand chapter.

There are only two recognized and validly formed Eastern Star Grand chapters in NY and if your chapter is not part of there umbrella then you need to do some serious research and contemplation.

It is very important to do research on were you are seeking your membership. there are over 100 irregular eastern star chapters in Brooklyn alone.
