Our works which have for some time been suspended are again in full vigor. The Corsairs Club, started by (now Worshipful) Brother Bill Gibbons and myself has remained dark for the last year, but will sail once more this Summer. Corsairs Club meetings are Masonic in flavor, but not technically as such, so all are invited. They include a ceremonial festive board consisting of ritual toasts followed by a short lecture and discussion on some philosophical or historical topic. For this (possibly) final meeting of the Corsairs Club, I will be presenting on on the essay, Shop Class as Soulcraft by Matthew B. Crawford and how it relates to Freemasons. I encourage you to read the article before coming if you can, but it's not necessary. I urge you to come to what may be the last of a truly unique and enjoyable event. All brethren and friends welcome!

Wor.·. Brn.·. Rashied Sharrieff-Al-Bey (37) and Thomas Brooks (14), both PHA NY, together with Adelphic Union Lodge 14, holden to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York, will co-host distinguished author and lecturer Dr. (and Brother) Timothy Wallace-Murphy (Grand Lodge of Scotland) for an open talk on Tuesday March 24th at 8:00 pm. The evening's topic will be "What Islam Did For Us: Understanding Islam's Contribution To Western Civilization" based upon his book of the same name, and will explore the role of Islam in reconnecting Europe with its philosophical past, and the material support that ultimately culminated in the Renaissance and paved the way for the Age of Enlightenment. This topic will reveal important implications about the relationship between Islam, Freemasonry, and the original teachings of the Master Jesus, the son of Mary. Br.·. Wallace-Murphy' s latest book will be available for purchase at the event, and he will be autographing his work. Adelphic Union Lodge will open at 7:00 p.m. for business, and Br.·. Wallace-Murphy will present at 8:00 p.m. The Lodge will go to refreshment to permit wives, friends, and candidates to attend. Please feel free to RSVP via this email address or to the number on the uploaded flyer. Refreshments will be served. I hope to see you there. Thank you. -- "Si Opus Quadratum vis, non angulo praecidere noli..." (If you want Square Work, you don't cut corners...)

(Almost) every week, Masons gather at McSorley's Old Ale House. This week should be particularly fun (because I'm promoting the hell out of it), so you should definitely come if you can. Also: I will be collecting donations for the KU Endowment to support development a screening test for early detection of ovarian cancer. So if you're interested in contributing to that, bring cash or your checkbook. But there is absolutely no expectation as far as that's concerned, so don't let that stop you. We will be going late, but will most likely change venue at some point, so if you come late, or you have trouble finding the place, call me at 917-805-9797.

Hey Everyone, The free lecture is an introduction to the fundamental ideas related to the evolution of the consciousness and the out-of-body experience. Also covered is an overview of the IAC's Consciousness Development Program. This is a good opportunity for you to connect with ideas, and begin to develop a foundation of understanding of the OBE phenomenon. The free lecture is a regularly scheduled event hosted by the IAC, and is open to anyone (including meetup members). YOU MUST CALL to RSVP. We can accommodate about 25 people, but space is limited so call early. To RSVP call: 212-867-0807
