"If you are a Freemason or OES, it is very important to get to know your Brothers and Sisters outside your lodge or chapter, preferably in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. This is exactly that!"

Alessandro (Apr 21, 2008)

"I regret I dont have a photo at this time, I'm new to the computer so bear with me. I'll be in the N.Y.C. area in May around 9th-15th,so if there anything happening then let me know you'll get to see me then,if not let's make something jump off,but others should join to be with Sisters and Brothers for just this purpose (Tell me and I forget/Show meand I remember/INVOLVE ME AND I UNDERSTAND) get the picture? looking forward to meeting you all Bro. Smith"

Bro. Darren S. (Apr 20, 2008)

"So wonderful in having this meetup to meet other members and interested persons."

Michelle Mitchell (Apr 13, 2008)

"This group had its first Meet-n-Greet in August '03, and has been going strong ever since. I have never regretted my involvement, and feel most appreciative of the friendships I've made because of it. Being an original host and an asst organizer is definitely something that I'm glad to claim. The NYC Freemasons & Eastern Star Meet-Up Group is THE BEST!"

About this Meetup

FREEMASONRY*Masonry is the oldest fraternity in the world, although no one can claim to know its exact origins. There is evidence that the Masonry we know today probably grew out of the guilds of stonemasons who built the castles and cathedrals of the Middle Ages. In the U.S., many of the Founding Fathers were Masons, including Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. From presidents, astronauts, and sports heroes to carpenters, CEOs, and bus drivers, millions of Masons have made our country what it is today. As Masons, history, tradition, and pride are central concepts in our lives.

EASTERN STAR *Women of today who wish to become involved in Masonry, may join the Order of the Eastern Star. The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic-related fraternity of women and men dedicated to charity, truth and loving kindness. Although not a part of the Masonic fraternity, membership is based on a Masonic affiliation or relationship, a belief in God, and a desire to acquire additional knowledge and for self improvement.
